Getting Unstuck

It’s easy to feel ‘stuck’ at some point throughout our life. I have no doubt that both you and I have been guilty of a few of these beliefs or actions. When you read through this list, don’t beat yourself up over what you should’ve done. It’s nothing more than bringing about a new level of awareness. When you discover a negative sub-conscious belief or understanding delivering the same results over and over, you can make a conscious decision to bring about change.

So if you discover something you need to give up in order to move forward in your life, then don’t focus on the negative. Rewrite the statement and focus on the new positive belief / affirmation. That’s what I’ve done – I’ve re-written the top 10 in the first person affirmative.

1. Letting the opinions of others control your life = It’s my life, what I think about counts and I know what is best for me!


2. The shame of past failures = All that matters is the present moment. 

3. Being indecisive about what you want = I’ve decided to truly discover what I want. 

4. Procrastinating on the goals that matter to you = Every day I make leaps forward in the right direction of my goals. 

5. Choosing to do nothing = I choose how I want to live right now. 

6. Your need to be rightI accept different points of views and understandings. 

7. Running from problems that should be fixed = I am strong and I choose to face my problems head-on.

8. Making excuses rather than decisions = I am in control of my own decisions.

9. Overlooking the positive points in your life = I am grateful for everything in my life right now. 

10. Not appreciating the present moment = I’m living in the now.
