What To Do When You’re Feeling Unmotivated

One day you’ll be on-top of the world, and then suddenly you might get struct by the ‘I can’t be bothered’ disease. It can strike at anytime, and results in a transformation into Mr Couch Potato if symptoms aren’t treated early. Signs of this disease can start with excessive laziness, including not wanting to get out of bed or get out of the house.

On a serious note, when you feel unmotivated – you’re powerless and not quite sure what you should do to get out of it. That’s why I’m sharing with you my top 3 tips to getting your motivation mojo back. The biggest secret here is to do the opposite of what you’re currently doing. You’re likely to interrupt your brain patterns.

#1 Move Your Body

When we feel stuck and unmotivated, chances are that you aren’t moving much. The mind and the body are connected. A lethargic mind also equals a lethargic body.  If you want to make fast changes to your mindset, move your body! Go for a jog, a walk… or do a little happy dance!

#2 Rock Out to Some Tunes!

And If you’re going to do a little happy dance, you may as well rock out to some tunes! If you’re feeling uninspired, try listening to some inspirational music. At first it will feel weird, because it totally doesn’t match your current mood. Stick with it. In a matter of minutes you’ll be feeling awesome.

#3 Defrag Your Brain

Your mind muscle can get lazy. One of the best strategies to to fixing your mindset is to defrag your brain. It’s as simple as taking some time out to meditate. Even just five or ten minutes will give you insane benefit. Warning: this is extremely powerful. If you haven’t meditated before, it might take a while to relax. At first, many people find that their mind seems too ‘busy’ and you feel like stopping and getting on the the day. Resist this temptation and keep going. You’re on the right track! Meditating in the morning sets you up for a powerful day ahead.
